Assam PSC Exam 2024 Syllabus based and Chapterwise Study Notes available
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released a notification for the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE 2024), aiming to fill 235 vacancies in Assam civil services, Assam police services, and other APSC departments. The online registration process commenced today on the official website apsc.nic.in, with the deadline set for February 6, 2024. APSC CCE preliminary exam held in March 17, 2024 followed by the Main examination expected in June/July 2024. Specific exam dates will be communicated in due course, as mentioned in the official notification. APSC Combined Competitive Main Exam - Expected in June/July 2024
ELIGIBILITY a) The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. b) He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2014. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years. There will also be relaxation of upper age limit in respect of Persons With Disability by 5 years i.e. upto 43 years. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/ Council, and no other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose. c) The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational institutions established by an Act of parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government. d) Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications. e) Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination on the closing date of submission of application need not apply. f) Persons with Disability should ascertain the post for which a particular category of disability is entitled for reservation as per the advertisement and should apply/opt the preference accordingly at the time of filling up forms for Main Examination. Combined Competitive ExaminationAs per requisition of the Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, advertisement is generally published through print media inviting applications in prescribed form. The written examination consists of two stages:
Preliminary ExaminationThe examination consists of two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is meant to serve as screening test only. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to Main examination are not counted for determining the final selection. The questions are of multiple choice objective types:

Candidates are not allowed the following combinations of subjects
The Commission has discrtion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the Examination. Interview Test : Marks 200 The candidates are interviewed by a Board which takes into account their academic career. The marks scored in the interview are added to the marks scored in the written examination (Main) and the rankings of the candidates are determined on the basis of the total marks obtained. |
