UPSC EPFO APFC 2023 Exam: Notification, Dates, Eligibility
On 25 February 2023 the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the notification for the selection of the candidates for the post of Enforcement Officer (EO), Accounts Officer (AO), and for the post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC).
The commission will conduct UPSC EPFO Exam 2023 for the recruitment of the candidates followed by an written exam and interview round.
As per the short notice released, a total of 577 vacancies shall be filled for 2023. Out of the total, 418 vacancies are for the post of Enforcement Officers (EO)/ Accounts Officer (AO), and the remaining 159 vacancies are for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFC). But there has been no official announcement yet.
UPSC EPFO registration will start on 25 February 2023 and the last date for application would be 17 March 2023, as per a short notice.
The written Exam expected date - 02.07.2023 (SUNDAY) OR 20.08.2023 (SUNDAY) OR 08.10.2023 (SUNDAY) OR 17.12.2023 (SUNDAY)
UPSC EPFO 2023 Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates must ensure that they have gone through the UPSC EPFO eligibility criteria 2023 to know about the educational qualification, age limit, nationality, etc. Candidates will not be able to proceed to submit the UPSC EPFO application form if they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for UPSC EPFO 2023 recruitment are as follows:
Nationality for UPSC EPFO Exam
The interested candidate must mandatorily be a citizen of India in order to be eligible for this post. If not, the candidate can be still considered eligible if he/she is either:
- a subject of Nepal/Bhutan
- a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India (since 1962).
- a person of Indian origin settled permanently in India from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, and other East African countries.
UPSC EPFO Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from any recognized university.
Desirable Qualification for UPSC EPFO APFC Post
If a candidate has the following qualification, then it will be advantageous.
- Diploma in Company Law/Labour Laws/Public Administration.

UPSC EPFO APFC Exam Pattern 2023

The UPSC EPFO APFC written exam is an objective type with multiple-choice questions.

The duration of the exam is 2 hours with the exam medium of both English and Hindi.
-
There shall be negative marking for the exam.
-
For every incorrect answer, 1/3rd mark shall be deducted.
Note- Weightage in the ratio of 75:25 will be accorded for marks in Recruitment Test and for marks in Interview for determining the final merit in the instant recruitment case.
