Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- For Paper I (Classes I to V):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE regulations.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old. There is no upper age limit for TS TET.

Selection Procedure: The selection process involves a written examination comprising two papers:
- Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V.
- Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII.
Candidates aiming to teach Classes I to VIII must appear for both papers. Qualifying TS TET is mandatory for appointment as a teacher in Telangana; however, it does not guarantee employment.
Exam Pattern:
Both Paper I and Paper II consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. The duration for each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.
