Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- For Primary Level Teachers (Classes 1-5):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE regulations.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Classes 6-8):
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
- Age Limit:
- There is no specified age limit for candidates appearing for REET.

Selection Procedure:
The selection process for REET involves a written examination comprising two papers:
- Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1-5.
- Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes 6-8.
Candidates aiming to teach Classes 1-8 must appear for both papers. Qualifying REET is mandatory for appointment as a teacher in Rajasthan; however, it does not guarantee employment.
Exam Pattern:
Both Paper I and Paper II consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. The duration for each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.
