Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Bihar B.Ed CET, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualifications:
• For Regular B.Ed Program:
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
• Candidates with a Master's degree should have at least 55% marks.
• For Shiksha Shastri Program:
• Acharya (Master's) in Sanskrit with at least 50% marks.
• Shastri (Bachelor's) with at least 50% marks and/or equivalent qualifications.
• Age Limit:
• There is no prescribed age limit for appearing in the Bihar B.Ed CET.

Selection Procedure: The selection process for Bihar B.Ed CET involves a single stage:

1. Written Examination:
• Objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
• Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to be considered for admission.

Exam Pattern:
The Bihar B.Ed CET examination is structured as follows:

• Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper-based).
• Duration: 2 hours.
• Total Questions: 120 MCQs.
• Total Marks: 120.
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer awards 1 mark; no negative marking for incorrect answers.

• Fill in the Blanks, Antonyms/Synonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Spelling Errors, One-word Substitution.
• General Hindi:
• संधि / समास, उपसर्ग और प्रत्यय, रस / छन्द / अलंकार, मुहावरों और लोकोक्तियों / कहावतें, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, गद्यांश, रिक्त स्थान की पूर्ति, व्याकरण, पर्यायवाची / विपरीतार्थक शब्द.
• Logical & Analytical Reasoning:
• Syllogism, Statement and Arguments, Statement and Assumptions, Statement and Courses of Action, Statement and Conclusions, Deriving Conclusion, Assertion and Reason, Punch Lines, Situation Reaction Tests, Cause and Effect, Analytical Reasoning.
• General Awareness:
• Current Affairs, History, Geography, Polity, Social Issues, General Science, Five-year Plans, Miscellaneous questions.
• Teaching-Learning Environment in Schools:
• Management of physical resources in school, student-related issues, teacher-student relationships, motivation, discipline, leadership, teaching and learning processes, ideal teacher characteristics, effective teaching, handling of students, classroom communication, curricular and extra-curricular activities, management of human resources in school, elements of a positive learning environment.
