Uttar Pradesh Common Medical Entrance Test commonly known among the student and teaching community as UPCMET is a common assessment directed by the Unaided Medical College Welfare Association for admission to first year MBBS degree. This exam is an undergraduate entrance exam conducted for admission to unaided (private) medical colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Admission is completely based on merit in the qualifying exam. Reservations are provided as per government notification enforced at the time of counselling.

UPCMET Exam Pattern
The UPCMET exam pattern for MBBS admission will consists of objective type multiple choice questions. The candidates have to select the right options from the given options.
Paper - I - Physical & Biological Sciences - 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (2 Hours 30 minutes)

Paper-I will be of 200 marks and Paper-II will be of 50 marks. But combined maximum marks for merit in UPCMET would be 200 i.e. Total marks of Paper-I and Paper-II will be of qualifying nature
Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in Paper-I shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and 50% in Paper-II (40% for SC/ST/OBC) to be secured in this test. However, merit shall be determined on the basis of marks secured in Paper-I only
There will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer.
