UP Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Complete Study Notes available


UPPSC APO exam 2022: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the UP APO notification 2022 on 21st April 2022 on its website. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will be closing the applications for Assistant Persecution Officer (APO) 2022 exam. Applications are being invited for the exam which will be conducted on July 10, 2022. The exam will be conducted in two districts Prayagraj and Lucknow. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 44 vacancies will be filled.

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 (they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2001). For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years. Relaxation of five years in the upper age limit will be applicable in the case of reserved category candidates.

  • Starting date of online applications:April 21, 2022

  • Last date for online applications: May 17, 2022

  • Last date to submit the online application fee: May 17, 2022

  • Exam will be conducted on July 10, 2022

UP APO Eligibility

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the APO before you proceed to fill out the online application. Check the eligibility criteria for the Sahayak Abhiyojan Adhikari. Check the age limit, education qualification, age relaxation, and other details here.

UP APO Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for the UP APO exam is a graduate degree in LAW from any recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates who had served in the territorial army for two years and N.C.C cadet with a B certificate.

Age Limit for UP APO

The candidate must be in the age bracket of 21 to 40 years. There is age relaxation for the various categories.

Part - I (Total No. of Question–50 on General Knowledge)

It will include day to day happenings around India and the World with special reference to :–

Negative Marking

There will be negative marking of one third.

(i) There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

(ii) If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.

(iii) If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Personality Test (Interview) 50 Marks

1. The suitability of the candidates shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, Character, Personality, and Physical fitness.
2. The Marks obtained in written test will be added to the obtained in Personality Test to consider the place of the candidate.

The final merit list for the selection to the post of Assistant Prosecution officer will be made by adding the numbers obtained in the UPPSC APO Main Written Exam and the personality test. It means that the final merit list will be made according to the numbers of candidates from 450 Marks.
