AIEEE Exam 2022 Complete Study Notes available

All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is carried out by the CBSE together with the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, MHRD. This exam is conducted to admit students to some of the top institutions in the country like IIT’s, NIT’s and other state level engineering colleges.

Syllabus for AIEEE

The syllabus for AIEEE exam is entirely based on 12th class syllabus from different State Boards of School Education like CBSE, ICSE, ISE and other state boards. Students have to be well versed with the Class 11 and 12th syllabus (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and can conveniently use their preparations for Class 12 Exam for scoring good rank in the AIEEE exam. The AIEEE exam is usually held during the end of April or in the beginning of May every year.

Question Pattern of AIEEE

The AIEEE Examination at present includes two papers.

Paper 1 is for candidates of BE/B.Tech and Paper 2 is for candidates of B.Arch/ B. Planning course.

BE/B.Tech AIEEE examination will be carried out for a time of 3 hours. The exam has objective type questions from Class XI and XII PCM subjects.

Equal marks are allotted to every part of the subjects. Every question has four choices. Students have to select the correct option amongst the available. There is a minus marking 25% for each incorrect answer.

As for the B.Arch/B. Planning exam the time allotted will also be of 3 hours. It will have three different parts which include Math’s, Aptitude test and Drawing test. This exam is intended to assess the aptitude, skills, ingenuity, responsiveness and observation of the candidates.

The scorecards with the concerned ranks and individual Marks are put up on the website together with the results.

Paper I:

Paper I will take place in offline mode and online mode

Online mode is computer based examination

Offline mode is written test that you need to perform with pen and paper

This examination is for selecting candidates for seeking admission to the courses such as B.E. or B.Tech

Paper 1 comprises of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with Multiple Choice Questions

Paper II:

Paper II will be in pen and paper mode i.e. offline mode

This examination is to give admission to the courses such as B.Arch. or B.Planning

In Paper II, there will be part I for Maths and part II for Aptitude Test, paper III will be for Drawing and Objective Type

What kind of strategy needs ?

Some of you must be preparing for your engineering entrance examinations. These common engineering entrance examinations are designed to test the ability of every individual. The first and foremost strategy is to believe in yourself.

Keep a positive attitude and be confident about clearing the exam without any hassles.  Help yourself, depending on your ability and capability to write an entrance exam.

1. Key to success in any engineering entrance exam: Practice. Improve speed. Clear the concepts.

2. You need to know about the essential books and study materials/notes to crack the exams. Start with listing topics, subject wise. There are a few topics which are not in JEE syllabus, but in state entrance exams’ syllabus. Put those topics in a separate list. 

3. While preparing for the IIT JEE or other engineering entrance exams, keep making diary of all the important facts and formulae, points to remember, tricks and all other things, you feel like revising a few days before exams. 

4. Go through the subject study with emphasis according to syllabus mentioned by the state engineering exams syllabus. Make a study plan according to the number of days left for your state exam.

5. Clear concepts for those new topics, and keep revising the topics you have already read.

6. Regular practice mock test papers for test yourself before appearing in the exam. Revise all the topics at least once, timed practice tests before the exam.

7. Before you start solving question paper first take the overview of it. And strategically look for what you can solve in lesser time.

8. One of the best tricks to crack the engineering entrance exams is to solve sample question papers. The sample papers will help you get an idea about the actual question papers.

9.  Just make sure to visit every topic, especially those, in which you didn’t score well in other entrance exams.
