UP CET (UPSEE) Exam 2023-24
Formerly known as UPSEE, Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test (UPCET) 2022 is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur. The exam is a gateway for admission to various courses including Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Lateral Entry, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), etc.
History of UPCET
UPCET was earlier known as Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) conducted by AKTU and Malaviya Entrance Exam (MET) conducted by MMMUT. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in offline and online mode by the respective universities. However, from 2022, UPSEE was renamed to UPCET and now is also the gateway exam for admission to the courses offered by MMMUT in addition to AKTU.
UPCET 2022 (UPSEE) Conducting Body
National Testing Agency (NTA), the central body established by the Ministry of Education (MoE) is the conducting body of UPCET 2022. NTA has replaced AKTU and MMMUT as the conducting bodies of the exam, which used to conduct UPSEE and MET respectively. NTA will conduct UPCET as the common exam for admission to various UG and PG courses offered by both of these universities and it will also be responsible for lateral entry admissions to the BTech courses offered by HBTU Kanpur. NTA will be conducting UPCET-2022 in the computer-based test mode.

Examination Pattern and details
UPSEE (UP State Entrance Examination) is managed by the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted to offer admission into 1st year B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, MBA & MCA(Integrated), etc courses. Candidates will also get admission to the 2ndyear degree courses, i.e. B.Tech, B.Pharm & MCA. Here, we are proving complete information about UPSEE Application Form 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
Before filling the application form, candidates must check the given eligibility criteria:

Candidates must be Indian Citizen.

Age Criteria

There will be no age limit to apply for the exam.
Qualification Criteria
For B.Tech (1st Year) Course:

Qualifying Exam: Passed Intermediate or 10+2 level examination from the recognized board.

Subjects: Passed the exam with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subject along with any one of the given subjects, i.e. Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.

Minimum Marks: Secure at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST) in aggregate.

Appearing Candidates can also apply.
For B.Pharm (1st Year) Course:

Qualifying Exam: Passed Intermediate or 10+2 level examination.

Subjects: Passed the above qualifying exam with Physics & Chemistry (compulsory subject) along with any one of the given subjects, i.e. Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.

Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate.

UPCET 2022 Exam Pattern
UPCET 2022 will be a combination of the two exams i.e. UPSEE organized by AKTU and MET organized by MMMUT. It will be organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates seeking admission to UG and PG courses offered by both of these universities will have to appear for UPCET 2022. UPCET 2022 will comprise 11 different papers conducted for various courses offered in the exam. The UPCET 2022 Exam Pattern will be different for each course. However, the exam will only be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The test will be held in both English and Hindi, depending on the course chosen by the aspirant.
